I only have one question: Why was this nutjob of a woman allowed to keep her oldest child after attempting to smother her with a pillow?!

That's a pretty big red flag, don't you think? I really hope there's an investigation launched into NHS, this type of incompetence shouldn't go unpunished.

Unfortunately I've had rather a lot of experience with the mental health services available on the NHS, and this type of thing is fairly common practice. There are a sickening amount of cases of abuse or neglegence as a result NHS screw-ups that don't make the news - some aren't even reported.
