Charlotte Laws is a drama queen.
No, seriously. She's an actress. Also, the wording was so melodramatic it felt like a novel and the fact that she mentions Anonymous is laughable. Anonymous wouldn't help her, and since anyone can call themselves Anonymous, it was most likely a few people who were wronged by Hunter Moore.

I feel like you're just hating on her right now. Of course this article is going to be melodramatic, it's because there are sick ******** who would gladly take Moor's side if we didn't make them feel life horrible douchebags for doing so. People occasionally take on the name anonymous to get s**t done online. Not all the asshats running around screwing crap up are a part of anonymous, either.

I don't think you see my point, but whatever. I really no longer care. As soon as you threw out "Hating", I realized how pointless it was to bother any more.
Happy New Year's. Or whatever.
So you can call this woman a drama queen after what she's been through, but I can't call you a hater when you do so without anything to back you up?
Nice.

How dramatized the entire article is. Not only that, but it seems peculiarly one-sided, as though the woman was only speaking of HER triumphs.
I read somewhere that she actually failed miserably to get her pictures removed and didn't do much more than fail miserably. I'm trying to find the article as we speak.

Exactly how even-handed can an article be about a guy who hosted a revenge-porn site that allowed people to post pictures of other people without their permission?

Anonymous has done plenty of vigilantism over the years. If you don't know about how Anonymous has done things like track down someone who posted animal abuse on youtube Link then you don't know Anonymous at all.

More on Anonymous and Hunter Moore

Anonymous did help her in an anti-hero sort of way. The group of users has had a history of aiding rape victims too.

"Anyone can call themselves Anonymous".
Think that one over.
I'm not saying that they didn't help expose animal cruelty, because they did, but they would never help someone violate someone else's right to Free Speech, however they may interpret that.

"Anyone can call themselves Anonymous" but these "Anonymous" frequent and organize on 4chan and Reddit.

And yes, they would and did violate someone's "right to free speech" as you put it. I'd disagree, in that posting someone's personal information and compromising photos that may or may not be stolen and may or may not be child pornography doesn't qualify as "free speech" because "free speech" ends when someone else's rights are infringed. What Anonymous did do is crash the guy's website and posted his personal information in response to him doing the same to his victims. A taste of his own medicine is what he got and was enough to scare him shitless.

Honestly a drama queen? The guy posted porn of her 17 year old daughter. She's underage. Hunter Moore posted child pornography considering how young most of his victims were. And the woman who got her face photoshopped on a porn star's body? What about her? Did she deserve that? What about the woman who had breast surgery? You think any of that is okay? Dramatized or not, this is a serious problem. It's not okay to stalk a person and violate their privacy as people. Whether the victims are male or female it's not okay to expose a person like that against their will on other websites and using naked photographs of people without their permission. He drove a van into her drive way multiple times. I think Charlotte Laws had a pretty decent excuse considering this guy was stalking her daughter down and humiliating her. Ruining her daughter's reputation. If this happened to a teenaged boy I would be just as equally upset about it. It's not about drama, it's about stopping people who are targeting people online who are stalking people down and trying to ruin their lives. That isn't acceptable in any social media or websites. These people were humiliated and exposed and afraid they would be the gossip of the town and lose their jobs.

This kind of internet exposition of people is not only humiliating but spreads ugly rumors about these women and get put under embarrassing situations of being labeled a slut. Revenge porn is not okay. When that one guy who posted revenge porn of his girlfriend over choosing a League of Legends character he didn't like it was bullshit. It's childish and there is no excuse for that behavior. Trolling is one thing but this is out of control and is not okay to do. Trolling is dumb but at least it can be avoided. This is unavoidable. It's disgusting and unforgivable. These are real people with real lives out there being exposed on the internet. It's our job to protect the personal lives of people using the internet.

And despite your theory on Anonymous choosing what they do and don't do it all depends on the user. Some members of Anonymous have differing opinions on the subject of revenge porn. Many are against it. Many are not. Some Anonymous members got involved because it was a violation of human rights and was child pornography because some teenaged girls were targeted. It's immoral and it should not be permitted. I am sure the article may seem dramatized to you, but the message is clear. This should not be allowed to happen. To anyone, not to anyone of any gender or age. It's illegal to expose a person's body on the internet without their permission first hence all of the legal documents people have to sign before becoming internet porn stars. They have to give consent first before being exposed online. But these people are different. Their accounts and computers were hacked, some were photoshopped on naked bodies, some were women going into surgery. This is completely cruel and unforgivable. It's not okay to defend this. It's not okay to mock Charlotte Laws and what she went through with her daughter. How would you feel if that was your kid? Being exposed online and humiliated to the point where she can't even show her face in public. The poor girl couldn't have a life because of the s**t that was happening to her.

I get that these cases take a long time to resolve, but I'm amazed this guy hasn't been gunned down in that time. It's obvious alot of people wish they could do it themselves.
I wonder whether or not we could go to war with him and his people? BANG BANG. I want to, that's for sure.

This woman is a brave brave person, though I feel justice will only truly be served and the world would be only a tad better if this guy had a bullet or two through the head.
