Yeah i saw that. They need to let go of their egomatic ways and join the rest of the world. Maybe a few more years of starvation wil make them realize.

Unfortunately as long as they are under the leadership of communism they won't be joining the rest of the world anytime real soon.

Actually a large portion of the world is under communist rule and they have very much joined the rest of the world. China and the then USSR (now Russia and surrounding countries) for example. It's where the term third world country came from. There was the US and our allies (first world), all the communist countries (second world) and 'everyone else'. I'm not defending China or Russia, they've done some messed up stuff to but they look pretty good compared to North Korea. NK is more like "communist + coo-coo crazy for leader".

The article I read talked how they wanted it to coincide with some of the ceremonies for the new son coming in and for the 100'th anniversary of the first Kim Jun or what ever. My guess is someone on the science end was saying, "We need more time" and sonny boy was saying, "No! It must happen NOW!". Being a second rate country with limited resources probably didn't help either. At least we can rest assured it was not their leader's fault. Some scientist(s) will likely get shot for it.
