Eleven middle school students and their driver were injured when a school bus jumped a curb Thursday and rammed into trees in Southern California, authorities said.

Three of the injured -- the driver and two of the children -- were taken to hospitals in critical condition after the 3:30 p.m. crash, Anaheim police Lt. Bob Dunn said. The other nine students had minor injuries, and most of them were released to their parents.

The fact that the driver didn't stop makes me wonder if they blacked out behind the wheel.

Remember to account for the condition and quality of the school buses. Just about every school bus does not come equipped with shocks (suspension) so every bump that they kid throws the bus drastically. I drive to work and school in a rusty 90's car that's falling apart but it's still a smoother ride to school than the public school buses. Bumpiest ride ever, if we hit a speed bump, our heads would hit the friggin ceiling.

Oh God.
Well, still better than the bus crash up in NorCal last week. sad
You should always make kids wear a seatbelt... unless you put 60 of them in the same vehicle.
