A baby-faced pizza-delivery boy savagely raped a woman in her Upper West Side apartment yesterday while her young daughter slept next to her in bed, police and the victim said.
“I want him put away. I want the world to know he raped me while my 7-year-old was asleep next to me,” the distraught woman said tearfully during an interview in her apartment. “He violated us, it’s disgusting — roaming around apartments looking to hurt people while you’re working.”
Suspect Cesar Lucas, 16, of The Bronx, allegedly prowled the 35-year-old victim’s West 61st Street building after delivering a pie to another person on her floor at about 12:30 a.m., police said.
Law-enforcement sources said he tried a few doorknobs until he found the victim’s door unlocked — and went inside.
“My daughter and I sleep in the same bed and I was raped while she was sleeping next to me,” the victim said, bursting into tears.
“He covered my mouth and told me to be quiet. He said ‘sshhh.’ I kicked him and I pushed him. He was a little guy.”
The suspect eventually fled, taking the woman’s iPhone and $20 from her daughter’s wallet, the victim said.
“I’m so angry, He just f--ked up everything,” she said. “How dare he come into my room. He was looking around my apartment — how scary.”
The victim was shaken by the horrific ordeal.
“I’m scared. I want to sleep with a chain on and I’m going to keep the door locked,” she said. “I’m embarrassed. I don’t want to go downstairs. I don’t want to leave the apartment. Everyone is talking.”
Cops arrested Lucas after finding him at work at New York Sal’s Pizza on Tenth Avenue between 48th and 49th streets — which is owned by his father, authorities said.
He had worked at the shop part-time on weekend nights for about a year, said a co-worker, adding, “He’s a good kid.”
But the victim wasn’t buying it. “These a--holes are going to say he’s a good kid? I want that pizzeria to pay,” she fumed.
Lucas was charged with rape and burglary.
He looked disheveled in a ragged white T-shirt, keeping his head down as cops hauled him from the 20th Precinct station house.
He was held without bail at his arraignment today in Manhattan Criminal Court.
Pizza boy may well be guilty (the story references prior theft) but this story stinks of 'spin'.
This story is sad and I hope justice is done. I'm just not keen on the apparent spin the NY Post apparently put on this story to get people more upset.
He 'savagely raped' her but it was on the bed with her sleeping daughter who apparently didn't wake up and 'he was a little guy' and she kicked and pushed him.
And why did her 7 year old daughter have $20 in her wallet? Maybe it was her birthday or something.
And what does it matter whether the rapist was 'baby faced'.

Now go look at his picture in the article. IMO he does not look 'baby faced' or 'disheveled', his t-shirt looks new not 'ragged' and he does not appear to be hiding his face at all, only looking down a little bit like he is trying not to trip due to having his arms cuffed behind his back.
"I want that pizzeria to pay" sounds like she is making the most of it in preparation for a lawsuit. How is any food delivery service going to guarantee none of their employees do anything 'bad'? Maybe they can put up signs next to the time clock that say - "REMINDER: It is against company policy to rape and rob our customers or their neighbors while on duty."
Another person trying to take advantage of the justice system. It said nothing about him succeeding, she just wants to play that particular victim card. She was burgled, not raped. Maybe she could get a lawsuit because he did it on company time, but I doubt anyone will say it's because she was raped.
I was hoping it was the pizzaboy who was raped, seriously what kind of amazing story would that be if the pizzaboy were raped from a woman who ordered the pizza.
and of course the store calls him a good guy, if they called him bad itd seem like he promoted his behavior by knowing how he was and letitng him work their and he would lose customers, prolly gonna lose some anyways.
