Sure the new 3ds may have some extra features but if you looked at what sony will be planning to come out with youll quickly see that the 3 ds has no chance. just look at the new portable for sony their plans will be much more effective because it has a bunch of more features the only thing that the ds might have would be the games
- Go back to six years ago...
The PSP is coming out, the DS is coming out.
The DS has a touch screen, a new thing for gaming.
The PSP has great graphics, and promises the full experience of the PS.
The DS was way more popular, more kid friendly, better price.
Turns out people didn't want to pay a ton of money for something that tried,
and failed,
to mimic the console experience in a handheld.
Now go back to today.
The 3DS.
Tons of third party support, 3D without glasses, only a few (much-wanted) ports from the 64.
The NGP.
Touch screen (something the DS had six years ago?), pushed out early to compete with the 3DS,
promises the full experience of the PS3 in a handheld.
Not to mention the NGP will make the 3DS price look way more affordable,
especially since it can't be less then 350 American dollars for NGP.
I'm telling you, history is going to repeat itself.
The 3DS will easily outdo the NGP.
Sony's been copying Nintendo since they started making the Move,
and just now they're putting touch screens on their devices?
They've been trying to play keep-up.
And btw, with Nintendo recommitting to Hardcore gaming...
They'll probably take some of the PSP's market along as well.
Along with the rest of the games they're going to develop,
SONY HAS NO CHANCE.
So what if the device is more powerful?
People aren't going to buy a super expensive device with a bunch of crappy PS3 ports.
Thought to be fair, Sony is not a gaming company.
They are an entertainment company.
If Nintendo didn't do better then them it wouldn't quite make sense.
It also makes the NGP a little less game and a little more phone-like,
which is bad in my opinion.
I want my gaming portable to be committed to gaming.
