The announcement stated that the game will remain on facebook. Considering that fact that no one is going to pay real money to buy the cards or units anymore, why not make them buyable with GG or even the essences in the game?

I understood that as FB users would have an easier time buying packs with GG instead of essence, so they'd make an account for a game that is only used for HOC. That's how I understood that.

Whether people pay real money for it or not is regardless of the point. Uncle Kenny and Social Jackie have both stated that there's no plans to transfer Gaia accounts to FB. Making Packs purchasable with Gold would be a little silly, considering that some people could rake in thousands of gold and essentially advance faster than the common player with essence.

because you can still get cards from the packs. the only units that you absolutely HAVE to pay money to buy are the three cards in the angel of darkness pack.

When gaia closes shop for the game there will be absolutely no connection between gaia and facebook. And considering that so few people actually play on facebook anyways, the game will be dead and forgotten.

Also, no one on Gaia knows how to code the game anymore, so they won't know how to change the buying method.
