I don't know about Death Dealer (I play Kingdom most of the time, and Flameborn second), but Corwyn's accuracy is somewhat meant to start low -- his Veteran ability makes him stronger for survived battles. Still, the grazing gets annoying fairly quickly.
Wait, in what battle system does a 100 make you miss, and a 6 make you critical hit?? (Looking at round 2's description)
Sir Corwin and Death Dealer both have base-ACC 85. Which is fairly average.
It
seems to work like this:
ACC 85 = Roll 1-85 to Hit. 86-100 to Miss/Graze.
Since Critical is 10% of ACC, that would mean:
Roll 1-8 to Critical Hit.
Hm. Odd way of doing it from a tabletop-RPG perspective, but from a coding perspective it's understandable. If you're doing accuracy, it would be slightly easier to test for values below the threshold, instead of above. I guess I'm too used to rolling d20s in D&D.
It's also a strategy card game too so *shrugs*
It's not too weird to me, but then again, I've played table-tops like Big Eyes, Small Mouth in which rolling low was good (2d6s).
