Hey there everyone!
I've just now decided, after years of telling myself to live healthier,
to start prepping my meals.
I know that it can get boring due to how many times you eat it within the week
but it is a great way to stay healthy!

So I'm 5'11-6'0 and currently weigh around 160 (give or take a few pounds), and have figured
that 1800-2100 calories a day is what I should be taking in? Is that right, or what would my ideal caloric intake be?

Exercising and eating right go hand in hand, so I want to know what is best to be eating.
I've read that spreading out your meals or times that you eat is a good idea.
A friend of mine said that eating 5 times a day, spread about by a couple or few hours is good,
along with working out.

So yeah, healthy meal prep ideas and suggestions?
Good snacks to be eating if I am going to eat 5 times a day too?

Thanks in advance for anyone giving me advice that will benefit me!
I appreciate the time you take out to view and assist me with my question!
I usually snack on nuts, as they are the least processed of all the snack foods.

I second the nuts! Specifically almonds, cashews and walnuts.

Larabars are actually good food bars, because you can actually pronounce and recognize the ingredients!
(I'm working on changing my own eating habits as well - which is eating less processed food.)

As for healthy meals, you can definitely try eating brown rice or quinoa,
or even orzo pasta (lots of protein!) with another meat. I like to make my own parmesan chicken,
and make tzatziki sauce which uses greek yogurt.

I also sautee vegetables and add spices to it like paprika, garlic, onions, and crushed red peppers to
get some greens in our meals, and they definitely help fill you up (especially broccoli).

Hummus with fresh veggies is also a good snacking option. Recently I had a bunch of fresh veggies (about three cups)
and hummus as lunch and it did fill me up for quite a while.

And greek yogurt (my favorite is Fage!) is a good substitute instead sour cream or any dips that youd like to make.
It has very little fat, and it has a whole lot more protein!
