first of all: where'd you hear about them canceling medicare?
i'm pretty sure it's EXTENDING medicare coverage
personally, i think the new healthcare reform bill isn't enough
and everyone hates it because they automatically assume that it's universal healthcare
when it's far from universal healthcare.
however, the healthcare bill in itself is positive, i guess.
i mean, in reality, it has barely any effect on the common american.
while it "forces" everyone to have some for of healthcare, most people already do.
plus, if they don't, either:
a. they're in the income group that gov'ment healthcare for poverty was extended to
b. their employers now have to give it to them
or c. they can buy it cheaper from the gov'ment.
meaning, they really don't have to do s**t to get coverage.
for positives, it benefits:
1. those with pre-existing conditions
2. people who were near the poverty line
3. people who have b***h employers that refused to give them healthcare
i mean, the only groups it hurts are:
1. capitalistic bitches of insurance companies
2. people who like to tan (i.e. idiots)
3. fast food restaurants (calorie count enforcement that really already existed so idk)
4. idiot teenage girls who can't use a condom right
