the people are intolerant to wheat, but not to the gluten.
people are intolerant to something else called fructans, which is a type of fibre found in wheat, oats, barley, garlic, onions, chicory root/inulin.

Also should avoid high fructose foods, which is funny, because a good chunk of gluten-free products are sweetened with agave which is pure fructose.

So anyway, why aren't these doctors telling the people they diagnosed with gluten-intolerance than they misdiagnosed them, and that they should be avoiding more than just wheat?
