Lung pain?

I have fluid in my lungs, nurse called it pleurisy.
It hurts terribly bad but they said I needed to cough out the phlegm.
So no I don't have a prescription for pain meds, apparently codeine Is a cough suppressant.

What can I do to relieve the pain?
I've been taking ibuprofen with no relief.
Aleive isn't helping either.

Please help because my lungs hurt like no other.
It's like I'm breathing in fire.
