I used to do both before I got pregnant.

I love going to the gym and lifting weights. However, I've always been interested in MMA. If there is one nearby where I live I would definitely join a class. Fighting or maybe sparring sounds like fun, but I just like the training aspect of it. I've always wanted to be agile and have good stamina. Getting in shape and the fact that I'd be able to defend myself in some situations is a huge bonus!

I think if you encounter someone yielding a weapon, techniques from Krav Maga would be the best way of defense.
