They argue that it burns more fat.
There's not food in your stomach to use for energy.
HOWEVER.
If you just eat back the calories anyway.
Your calorie deficit ends up the same.
So the argument is scientifically irrelevant.

I personally think eating before you workout is better.
You have more energy to workout harder & longer.
& in turn you burn more that way.

Do whichever you prefer.
You'll lose weight both ways.

Depends on the type of workout you're doing I think.

Cardio? Weightlifting?

Either way I think it's ok, as long as you drink plenty of water.

There are lots of people that exercise while fasted and get great results, but if your body isn't used to it you may start to feel light-headed or "shaky" and weak at some point during the workout.

It's recommended for most people to at least have a light snack of some kind before a workout.

Some peanut butter toast with a touch of honey is one of my favorites for a bit of energy. Maybe throw a banana in there as well, grab a bottle of water and you should be good to go.
