Yes I'm female. I mix it up between 3, 5, and 10lb weights. Depending on what I'm doing, the 3lb ones I use for my yoga stuff.
Take pictures every month to document your progress. Trust me it keeps you motivated

Morning: Ate a red sweet apple.
Lunch: Another turkey sammich with shrimp.
Dinner: A banana with my protein shake.

Yesterday I went to a funereal so I didn't work out nor did I really eat too healthy.
I did eat some delicius brownies though... and cheesey potatoes.
Today...
Workout 1:
Army prep drill
Breakfast
White Chicken Chili
Naked Juice (lots of fruit)
Lunch:
PB&J
Workout 2:
2.2 Mile race-- not my fastest 2 mile but not bad. Finished in the first 10
Snack:
Apple

You are pretty good at dieting. I don't do so well with eating a lot less food. Like, I couldn't do just a nutragrain bar or apple for breakfast without it being forced upon me or having a snack.

Workout:
Army prep drill
Abs; sit ups, leg lifts, suitcases, crunches, planks with alternating leg lift.
Did it as a ladder so reps were 20-15-10-5-10-15-20
Breakfast:
Banana, peanut butter, cocoa shake and pb&j.
