I just wanted to ask that what is better, from Harry Potter movies (or) Harry Potter book?

Basically they both are based on the same story... But a lots of scenes are cut in the movies, and thats why I like J.K.Rowling's original books... What do you guys think??

I think both have their good and bad points. The books are fantastic because you learn all the details and J.K is just such a good author but you dont have the visuals which can help and makes thinks so exiting. The movies do have mistakes which anoy most fans (including me).

The books offer so much more detail, but then again the movies are a visual treat. They both have their high points, but overall, the books are better.

The books are definetly better. I'm a bit of a purist, and it drives me bonkers when the movies deviate from the books.

The best guild ever!

The books. In the movies the do not (along with other things but this is from the most recent film)
almost kill Bill! You can't not almost kill Bill! Then his wedding will seem like it was just rushed and there was no thought put into it. Also I'm pretty sure that they didn't put Ginny in! The films are so different from the books that I don't count them as the same story anymore. I hate how alot of Harry Potter fans are screaming girls who only like the movie stars and don't appreciate the film at all! I AM THE BIGGEST HARRY POTTER BOOK FAN ALIVE!

The books are definately better than the movies. Especially the fourth one, that movie sucked. I mean, in the first one they didn't have Snape's challenge protecting the stone. And in the third one the prophecy is completely wrong. And in the fifth one they didn't have any Quidditch which was a big part of it and they didn't explain how Tonks could change her appearance and Snape's worst memory was like 15 seconds long. And most recently, they burned down the burrow. I remember watching it and being like, "What the f*** was that about?" And there are a ton of other things they changed, most of which was complete crap. (The talking heads in the third one were cool though). Anyway, the books are definately much better.
