If you read the prophesy over and look at the details of both Neville's and Harry's life at that point in time, the only reason why Harry was chosen was because Voldemort marked him. Otherwise we'd be reading about Neville's adventures.

Yup. The only reason that Harry was the "Chosen One" was because Voldemort "marked" him as his "equal". I do agree though, that Neville's story would be pretty amazing...
