I find the same! Cold and... well, actually, that's most of the school. Ginny was one of the only people that was ever nice to me before I came to the DA. But war does that to people. Makes them come closer together.

As for Professor Snape's virginity. . .and, mind, that is a disturbing sentence all on it's own. . .I don't think he was, no.
For one thing, he was a teenage boy at one point in his life.
This may not have been a happy time, and he may have been in love with Evans, but that doesn't mean he'd give up women for her.
Especially not after she was married.
I have no doubt that his lovers would have all been red heads, had green eyes, or that he was never in an actual relationship, but I'm sure he at least had a few one night stands.

Besides which, Snape was a death eater.
Now, what death eaters do was never talked about, besides killing and maiming, but all you have to do is look at history to know that people like death eaters would have done more.
Rape, for one thing.
And had Snape not gone along with whatever the others were doing, he wouldn't have fit in.
And, with death eaters, I'd imagine not fitting in is a bad thing.
Especially after he became a spy and actually -was- hiding something.
