You know, Peter really isn't all that bad. I mean, he's more like someone who's basically silly putty in a powerful person's hands. He just happened to fall into the wrong hands. That's a bit of a cliche, innit?

He betrayed all his friends who were there for him during his school years for a bigger, grander master.
I don't think one can fall any lower.

All right, I'll give you that one. But he didn't kill Harry in the cellar, though.Does he get points for that?

He owed Harry a Life Debt. And wizards are bound by those.

All right,Professor Depressor! I'm trying to make him sound a bit more nicer. You've got to realize, the bad guys, they didn't start out bad. Even Voldemort was a nice kid. Sometime. In the distant past. When he was semi-normal.

... Have you read HBP?
Voldemort collected trophies from the kids he picked on. This was from before he was 11. And that woman from the orphanage said he was strange even as a baby.

You can try to make him sound nicer but the facts speak for themselves. Not all the bad guys start out bad, Voldemort is probably the exception to the rule (so big mistake mentioning him) but the others probably didn't start out like that.

Bellatrix Lestrange might have, though.

Hey, it's not his fault the way he turned out.. It's not his fault that his father abandoned his mother or that his mother died after he was born or that he had to grow up thinking someting was wrong with him.
You might be right about Bellatrix, though.

Voldemort never thought there was something wrong with him. He thought he was special and relished the thought. He was convinced of the fact that he was different from the others, that he had power. Which he did, lots of it.

Voldemort never wanted friends nor did he wish for parents.

Okay you won! Can we go to someone else? I need to get started on my opinion of Snape.

I mean, what do you think of him? Do you think of him as trying to atone for causing Lily's death or that he just wanted to keep the spawn of his enemy alive to torment him?

Well, Snape's in my top four of favorite characters so I'm probably bias- Neh, I don't do biased.

Snape... Well, I loved him for his humor and how he was always so mysterious and we were never really sure if he was the good or the bad guy. And then they revealed his love for Lily Evans which cleared up an unreasonable amount of things. It's a sad history but I can't believe he actually held on to that love for one person his entire life. That, I think, is really, terribly sad. I wish JK hadn't killed him off because as a man he had much more potential than teaching little 'dunderheads' and perhaps, after Voldy was dead and Dumbledore was dead (may he rest in peace) he could've finally actually moved on, ya know?

That and he should hook up with Granger and conquer the academical world with her after she ditched Ron Weasley.

EEEEWWWW!!!! Mental Picture! That is just gross. OMG! Imagine their kids! They'd be super brainiacs with a somber look on life.
Anyway, I think it's good that J.K. killed him because now he can be with Lily, even though she's married to his rival.
im not saying I liked Peter's choice. the reason I like Peter so much is because I thought he was one of the most realistic characters in the entire series. idk just something about his fear and wanting to be accepted seemed so raw and so real to me.
Remus is acually my favorite marauder! I just just love him -hugs-
And I think the war affected him the most. Losing everyone who accepted him for who he was in one swoop has gotta be hearbreaking.
As for Snape..
I..am not much of a fan. I have nothing against him. I just..eh

Yeah I really feel sorry for Remus. But look on the bright side. He's in a better place now.
And whta do you mean by "eh"? Either you like Snape or don't .

Well, I'm a big fan of his humour and stuff but if he'd be a person I'd know in real life I'd still like him, probably, I really don't give a s**t about looks. But if he'd be a professor of mine.
*shudders*
I don't do well under pressure.

Anyways, who said Snape had a somber outlook on life? Perhaps he had finally placed all his hope on defeating the Dark Lord and finally getting even with James Potter and completing his vow to protect Lily Evans' son. We never knew anything about Snape's outlook on life itself.

But I think we're safe to assume Snape didn't like teaching very much.
xD

True dat. But he always seemd to be monotone, you know? Either that or annoyed, or angry, or furious, or just super mega pissed off.

What?
So it's not possible to neither like or dislike a person?
The word doesn't exists out of black and white. There are shades of gray to put it in extremely cliché terms. Veeeery cliché.

I don't know you very well so I neither like nor dislike you but as we talk more I'll form a more complete opinion but even then. *shrugs* I've been in the same class for over a year and there are people I neither like nor dislike.

true! XD
and what I meant by the "eh" is that I don't like snape, but I dont dislike him either. he has his moments. I mean I really liked how he kept me guessing whether or not he was good or evil, and his one-sided romance was bittersweet..uhh lets just saw hes not in my top 10.

All right, I'll give you guys that. But I'm kinda mad that Snape had to die. He was one of my favorite characters. That's why I'm putting this stuff about him. It's like the opposite of what normal people do. crying

I believe we have only actually seen Snape under the following circumstances.

1) In class, teaching (which he obviously doesn't like) Harry Potter (Whom he dislikes)
2) Teaching Harry Potter prvate occlumency lessons. (See above, add to this: there's an evil woman trying to take over Hogwarts which makes a spy's life even harder and... Oh wait, he's teaching Harry Potter while Dumbledore was a much better choice but Dumbly was being an old coot in that book.)
3) When he was killing Dumbledore (Yes, because killing the one person he truly respects is a happy occasion)
4) When he was under the rule of Voldy as his trusted follower (...)
5) Order meetings (Because he probably LOVED being in the same room as Sirius Black while they BOTH act like childish idiots)
6) Headmaster of Hogwarts (Students rebelling, Carrows using unforgivables, un-happy head of Gryffindor, unhappy staff in general (and he did help Ginny and Neville when they tried to steal the sword))
7) Being killed by Nagine (Oh, yes! Death! LET'S REJOICE!)

We haven't seen many occasions where Snape had the chance to be happy.

Perhaps if he'd hooked up with Granger while she was still a student...
