hey new peoples! blaugh

So anything other than halfblood prince going on?
Tonk's patronus turned into a werewolf because she was in love with one (and by falling in love with one destroyed her character and the character of the man she "loved" stare ).

I rather do think they had the same patronus. I also like the idea that they had Hyenas as patronuses, due to the way the animals "laugh."

No idea what it would have changed to, if anything. If they did have the same patronus to begin with, what would George's turn into that reminded him of Fred, same for the same thing?
Possibly a two-headed hyena?

... Which is actually really cool looking in my head and might warrant some sort of art piece.
@ least ravenclaw is better than slytherin.
I must have totally missed that but the point is the patronuses can change so I still believe George would have something that would remind him of Fred. It's almost like how Harry's patronus was inadvertantely his father's animagus form.
A two headed hyena would possibly be the most fierce animal ever.

HBP... Less than a week away...
8DD
I like the hyena idea, too - it's new, imaginative. (:
Whenever I ask someone what patronus they think [insert Weasley here] had, it's usually a dog. I ask why, they say, "because they're loyal."
It's so cliché, as if they see the entire Weasley family as 'the sidekick'. Yeah, Ron's the sidekick in the story, but that doesn't mean his whole family is, too.
Do you get what I'm saying?

But I also like the idea of Fred and George having the same kind of animal patronus, but different breeds. Because as similar as they are, can two people really be completely identical?

well still hyena are a type of canine. personally i think fred would have a ferret and george a mongoose. the tricksters of the rodent world. probably play tricks on dementors... pants them always, stand behind them, sneak up and jump at them, make a fake helpless human made of dungbombs... that last would be one hell of a kiss.

[EDIT] also go me 100th post!

Well, no, they're not. If I remember correctly, the Canidae family includes only dogs, wolves, and foxes. They are related to dogs, which is what I think you meant, but only up until their order - Carnivora. After that, dogs go into the Caniformia suborder, and hyenas into Feliformia.

Oh geez. See what my biologist mother has done to me? >___>
Anyway.

That's an interesting choice, too and I can definitely see where you're coming from. I don't think I know enough about either animal to establish an opinion, though. I'll do some research tomorrow, it's too late today. razz
Any reason why Fred has a ferret and George a mongoose, and not the other way around?

feliformia? surprised like felines? like hyenas are cats? i dunno i never really paid attention in biology or any of my science classes really... stupid teachers think we're too dumb to understand physics stare only branch of science i'm interested in...

fred ferret both start with "F". George Goose.. Mongoose... I was going for mischievious rodents and gerbil didn't really fit... the only other rodent with g i could think of... and mongooses are awesome. they hunt snakes and eat them. if you would like to know more about mongooses read Riki Tiki Tavi. possibly the best book written on the subject of mongooses... mongeese... confused ...
