It just seemed different from the books. Especially the third movie! My friends who had never read the books didn't understand it well, mainly because of the whole Marauder issue.

I didn't hear about Harry Potter until I read a report about someone trying to sue Rowling for stealing their idea back in 2002. I didn't read them until this year.

All five thus far, several times each.

The three that have been made so far.

The first two were ok, the third one was crap.

The first two set the scene and I thought were reasonably well done interpretations of the books. The third one just got raped. Important stuff was left out that could have been left in all too easily if they'd made the movie as long as the second one.
9. Did you like the books?
Yes. I was skeptical at first and expected the books to insult my intelligence, but after the first couple of chapters of the first book I was hooked. I disliked book five but it's grown on me.

Book five was 110% Harry whining and being a b***h, with a decent ending tacked on. It's all too obvious that Rowling was desperate to make a deadline with this one.

8. It seemed a bit generic, even as far a niche genre is concerned. Probably due to the fact the movie sought to bring this genre to the mainstream and was forced to rely on clichedtechniques. Furthermore, the plot didn't interest me and the acting didn't convince me.

The seriously raped everyone's charaters. Everyone was acting totally unlike themselves. Plus the director of the third one was the guy who made that really perverted spanish (italian? not sure) movie. You could tell from all the hugging and groping in the Azkaban movie. They're 13 for chrissakes.
