Okay, I have a guess. I'm not completely sure on the reasoning, and I don't have my books with me to look it up, but I'll go on what I have for now.

I am now what you’d call free-she's dead now, so she's free, but not in the obvious sense of the word
I’m the apple that fell far from the tree-here, i get less sure...i can't remember exactly why/how, but i think i recall that she disagreed in some way with her mother, and i know she took the tiara and ran off
Power and money I now lack-she's a ghost, also, she ran off from her mother
Three loves of mine have been attacked-again, not so sure...i feel like i remember something about this, but i'm not sure. I know the bloody baron killed himself after trying to bring her home, and he felt unrequited love for her

It's a great guess. However, the wording of the riddle says, "power and money I NOW lack." This indicates that the character in question might be one that is alive. I could be wrong though. The riddle is very cryptic.

Lucius Malfoy?

My reasoning:
He was once rich and powerful, but he also served the Dark Lord. After DH and Voldemort's death, he was free, but he no longer holds a powerful role in society anymore.

He no longer has power, and on the money thing...I think he still has money, but since he's no longer an important figure in society...

The only "loves of mine have been attacked" that I can think of are Draco and Narcissa...dunno about the third.

I once dwindle among the prestigious - The Black family, but possibly the Death Eaters? The 'once dwindle' coule be the fact that he used to be Death Eater, but left them before Voldemort was defeated
I am now what you’d call free - Again, could be because he left the Death Eaters but might be that fact that he is dead.
I’m the apple that fell far from the tree. - (I really don't know about this one so I'm going to make up some waffle and say) Like the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden...somehting about his being a traitor?
Power and money I now lack - He's dead, so no longer has the advantages of being in the Black family (and especially being the fave, according to Sirius)

I was thinking the only three surviving members directly from the Black line are Callidora, Narcissa and Draco but the attacked part doesn't make sense. Then I was thinking about the people who were removed from the house, but there's too many of them and we don't know how much of if he was really bothered by that.
