Reasoning: Because when he used to work under the Malfoys, obviously he was in contact with the "prestigious". And now he is free and it makes sense that he's "the apple that fell far from the tree", considering his family lineage demands that he be a servant to a human family. "Power and money" still confuse me which makes me doubt it's him, but the last line supports it. His "three loves", quite possibly anyways, would be Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
