The injustice--his parents fought a lot and the Sorting separated him from Lily and ultimately destroyed their friendship. Snape was killed by Voldemort, but the one Voldemort should have been trying to kill was Malfoy. Snape was incapable of letting go of the injustice done to him by the Maurauders, again illustrating the injustice that shaped him. Also, he couldn't let go of Lily or forgive himself for his past crimes. While he appears to be apathetic to the Light's cause, when Harry is in need, Snape helped him. In DH, Snape's patronus brought Harry the Sword of Griffyndor when he needed it. Also, in SS, Snape refereed the Quiditch match between Griffyndor and Hufflepuff in order to protect Harry.

ooh,also a very well thought out answer but no. ***I think parts of the riddle are more literal than that...although I'll say that the "injustice" bit is more figurative.***

It doesn't move and it did help Harry with the whole Chamber of Secrets thing because under his clues with moaning myrtle dying in the bathroom and the whole spider thing, they managed to save ginny.
