Awww~ I know how you feel about not wanting to believe that Sirius died.

I could not believe for a while that Dumbledore died. Not until they buried him, really, but still, I kind of hoped that he would come back. D:

Your theory is pretty interesting though, especially with the stone and the past selves. I did wonder why they looked different than when they died and that's a neat explaination.

Personally, I can't picture Sirius as dead. Who the hell dies by curtain, even if it is in the Dept. of Mysteries?
I'm agreeing more with the trapped in limbo idea, where he is not actually dead, but unable to return to the world of the living at this time. I also think the ressurrection stone is similar to the backlash from Voldy's wand, where it is merely a shadow, a fragment of the deceased.
But, as previously said, we know nothing, this is all opinion, and fanfiction is a wonderful thing.

Anothing thing to contemplate with Sirius is that when he "died" (I think he's dead, but still~) Harry went and talked to Nearly Headless Nick. I remember reading that Nick said that Sirius has already moved on and therefore won't/can't come back as a ghost.

Ooh, I really want to get in on this as well! I completely agree with VB. I always thought Sirius had simply gotten hit with a stunner that caused him to fall into the veil. The veil didn't kill him - it simply took him to the other side. Maybe he's not technically dead, but he's with the dead now and he can't come back. Remus seemed to know that. Also, I really like the theory about the stone, though I do think it actually brought back the ghostly forms of his family.

Wands perform spells like lumos and can perform jinxes and curses for protection.

It attacks on command
With the help of a word
You need to know the spell for the wand to perform the magic.

But just keep it safe
Or it just mite kill you.
A wizard/witch sould always protect their wand. And sometimes wands backfire, harming the owner.
