Official Harry Potter Riddle Thread

For those of you intelligent, bright individuals who loves a good challenge and win prizes, this thread is for you!

As most of you have guessed, this is a thread of riddles.(and no, I don't mean Tom Riddle!)

The Riddles here is, of course, based on the Harry Potter books and movies. They are not supposed to be about the actors/actresses and their personal lives.

There are prizes involved in this. If you want to post a riddle, you must include a prize. But if you post a good riddle that's difficult, you can put a fee on your hints!

The Rules explain everything, which is why you must follow them or you won't win anything and failing to follow the rules will result in the loss of privalege to win any prizes whatsoever.

~Hangout~

Of course, you can post here to hang out. But try not to go too off topic. The one rule for the hangout is rule #5. Don't break that rule or i'll be upset. But yes, you can chat about anything, just don't forget about the riddle. It's highly reccommended that you use brackets or parenthesis () {} [] if you're really off topic, but you don't need to.

~Current Riddle~

The Current Riddle Post is usually current and up to date. The riddle posted is, of course, the latest one that has been posted. It can be either solved or unsolved, so read carefully so there isn't any misunderstanding.

~Riddler's Hall of Fame~

If there is a riddle that has been unsolved, has completely stumped many people or has more than 15 wrong answers, the Riddler who has posted the riddle will have his or her gaian name up on the Riddler's Hall of Fame.

~RULES~

(The rules below apply to everyone and every riddle. No exceptions!)

1- Follow The Gaia ToS

2- Only one riddle can be posted at a time. If one riddle is posted and has yet to be solved, you must wait until that riddle is either solved or time limit is over in order to post a new riddle.

3- The Riddle's Answer must be related to Harry Potter. The answer should either be a location, a spell, a potion, a creature, an item, or a character. It can not be anything else.

4- No guessing in a row. You can post only One Guess and once you do, you must wait until AT LEAST Two more people post a guess before you can post another one. No double posting! No editing your guesses, either.

5- No spamming the page or asking for gold. In this thread, the only way you can get gold is to earn it.

6- Random guessing is allowed only if it's related to Harry Potter.

7- If you stumble upon the correct answer, you must post a reason for your answer. If you can't, the reasoning prize will be given to the next person who can. You must state a sufficient amount of reasoning in order to recieve the award, regardless if it was different than what the riddler had originally thought. If the reasons were different, then the riddler can post their reasons if they desire.

8- Respect other people in the thread. We want to make this enjoyable as possible. So don't be a down-right jerk.

9- The prices of each hint depend on the Riddler. Each of the hint fee should not exceed 600 gold. Hints are attributes to the riddle, and are optional. The hints are only given to those who purchase them.

10- The Total Prize of your riddle should be 300 gold or higher. Or if you're giving out an item, it must be worth 300 gold or higher. There Must Be A Prize For The Winner and the Prize for the person who gave the Reason.

11- Riddle must be 4 or more lines long, must be composed of at least 3 seperate clues, and must never be so vague that you could stretch almost any answer to fit the lines.- In this case, clues does NOT equal hints. Riddler can add in some details if they wish, but they can not change the riddle entirely.

12- If the Riddler is offline, be patient. First correct guesser wins the prize, regardless if the Riddler is offline or not.

13- RIDDLES CAN NOT LAST MORE THAN A WEEK. If the Time Limit Is Up, The Riddler must give the correct answer and their reason.

14- Riddlers must list the Harry Potter books/movies that they are familiar with, so we won't guess answers that the Riddler knows nothing about. (Aka: HP LIMIT)

15- All riddles must be in English.

16- As an Addition to Rule #15, All Riddles must be in Coherent English. No chat speak(Such as OMG, WTF, LOL) and No L33T speak. No Lazy shortenings of words. (Such as U-You, Cuz-Because).
-Unintentional typos are alright, but the riddle must be grammatically correct. Use a spell check if you must.

17- You must wait for two people to post a riddle before posting another one of your own.

18- Riddlers must post the wrong answers given and post the winner of the Answer and the Reasoning.

19- Don't be one of those Riddlers who just post a riddle and never come back to check and see who got the right answer, because that's just kills the fun.

Riddle:
I sit there
with regret washing over me,
I hear my name
so I turn to see.

I do not understand
this glowing ball of light,
but I grab my things
and walk towards it with little fright.

It takes me
to a forest I know
but what I seek
does not show.

I wander and wander
'till the ball shows again
so I set off again
in search for these friends.

Eventually,
I find the ones I search for
But the fate,
is not one to hope for.
