In the fifth book, a rather unusual character appeared. Not a word about her was mentioned beforehand. This, of course, is Miss Lovegood. But, the question is why she was introduced. So far, she has not served much in the plot, but Luna probably will soon. Why else would she be there? What do you think about her and her future role?

I guess not many people like Luna. Whenever I try to figure out 'ships, I never know where she'll fit in. I also think it's strange that she wasn't mentioned in any of the books before the fifth..

That'd be interesting. The main reason I see that possibly happening is 'cause she can see the thestrals too.

They both have a lot in common, Harry and Luna, I mean. Well, kinda. sweatdrop Then again, they're very very different. I guess Luna could neutralize Harry's hot-headedness with her calm disposition? Maybe?

xD Kinda. -Shifty eyes- Some people put her with Ronnie, but I can't really see that.

luna herself was never mentioned before year 5 but the lovegoods were mentioned as having gone to the quidditch world cup early in year 4 3nodding

plus, with all the details i could gather in the last book, methinks luna has a nice little crush on ron whee

I think she has a crush on Ron, too. It's fairly obvious, since she's friends with Ginny. How many of y'all had crushes on your friend's older sibling? *raises hand* blaugh Anyhoo, I still believe that Harry and Luna will end up together. Or, at least, they become as tight as Harry is with Hermione.

Psssst.... because we all know that Ron'll end up with Hermione! heart

You failed to mention that her name had indeed come up in the fourth book. When they were about to use the portkey to go to the quidditch world cup, diggory, i think, asked about the lovegoods, or someone did, but they said they weren't coming, so my conclusion is that she was indeed mentioned in the fourth book. whee

What's your is yours and What's mine is mine.

I think Luna would do better with Neville. They look better together for one, but well, they are both sort of mysterious and keep to themselves.I always pair them up if I'm going to write a after Hogwarts fic.
