I feel like the quiz is sort of arbitrary. You can't really tell where a person should be by a few questions. My boyfriend was sorted on Pottermore as a Slytherin, and he doesn't really have a Slytherin bone in his body. I was sorted as a Hufflepuff, and Hufflepuff is the house least like me. (Online sorting quizzes sort me Slytherin, typically, though I'm so Gryffindor it hurts.)
So both of us kicked in another Pottermore account, and he's in Ravenclaw, where he belongs, and I'm in Gryffindor, where I belong. And no, I don't think it's disingenuous to start over, because it's a freaking internet sorting quiz.
I find it strange that the quiz doesn't really ask you what you value, nor does it really get the "best" feeling of you. I mean, a question that asks you if you want to view the talking mushrooms or take the silver apple? Each question is multiple choice and black and white, with no room for explanation. How does that pick "your" house? It doesn't ask the nitty-gritty questions.
TL;DR: I think the Pottermore quiz is really for younger people who don't really have any house loyalty yet, so I wouldn't fret too much if Pottermore is causing an identity crisis.

I have to agree. I value loyalty and hard work way more that bravery, and I've always been a Hufflepuff at heart. So, I'm going to try the quiz one more time.
