For The First Time I'm Ready To Stop Running

I'm sorry I don't see HOW they are the perfect couple their entire relationship was rushed together as I have said before, the final book was the worst of the six as I have said also before.

I don't mind at all that you like Ron/Hermione at all I just cannot see chemistry at all with those two, they were rushed together instantly all the pairings were rushed together just like Harry/Ginny and the rest of the odd pairings in the story Rowling sucks at romance lets just face that fact right now. If she had wanted perfect chemistry between Ron/Hermione perhaps she shouldn't have worked on Harry/Hermione scenes/chemistry as much as she had.

Yes, well Hermione and Ron may argue a lot but they really do balance each other out. think about it. Ron is rather dumb (no offense to him) and Hermione is really smart. Ron is also rather good at helping Hermione out when she's having a rough time and that's something that Harry's never been able to do. Harry has been through so much that he can't comfort people as well as Ron can. Ron and Hermione argue a lot, so they come to a consensus in the middle, they are good at compromising. When Ron left in the seventh Harry Potter, Hermione and Harry had no balance in the middle and couldn't decide on anything. Harry and Hermione would not have worked because Harry could have never given Hermione the right type of love she needs. Harry holds his own on an argument with Hermione while Ron will agree right away with Hermione which is something Hermione needs. Harry and Ginny work together really well because Ginny can do almost everything on her own without the emotional support that Hermione needs from a husband.

What you're not understanding s that Ron and Hermione aren't going to fuse together to create RONMINE the superhuman. "Balancing one-another out" doesn't work in relationships the way you seem to think it does.

No, Ron isn't as bright as Hermione, but rather than helping him out, she enables him. She babies him, which, in turn, makes him less likely to try on his own. You want proof? Look at how she does his homework in book six and uses a jinx to get him onto the Quiddich team. Is that displaying any respect? NO. It's essentially saying "You're too worthless to do anything on your own without me, and that makes you less of a human being".

Tell me how that's healthy. And while you're at it, tell me what Ron and Hermione have in common. No, Harry and going to the same school don't count. You can't live 19+ years only talking about Harry and your old school days.

The Quiddich argument well, Ron was definitely nervous about that. Obviously he had the skills but was extremely worried. Besides, McLaggen was messed up anyways. Usually she is very unwilling to let either Ron or Harry copy her homework, and let's face it, everyone has copied homework at least once but that doesn't mean you can't do it. Balancing each other out does work so that you no what copromising is- learning how to compromise is something very important to any relationship. Many couples are extremely different people but they work together well. Ron and Hermione both have the ability to love more deeply than Harry does. Harry has lost so many loved ones that it is much harder for him to love than Ron or Hermione. Hermione and Ron are like ying and yang, both different, but with some of the same inside.

1- you're confusing "balancing one-another out with "complete and total opposite". Here are examples.

Balancing one-another out: Partner A has his head in the clouds and partner B understands this so that Partner B can remind partner A of reality in a way that doesn't hurt parnter B.

Complete fecking opposites: Partner A is a daydreamer, Partner B wouldn't know fun if it bit him/her on the a** and both ae frustrated because they never understand one-another, nor do they make any attempt to.

Where do Ron and Hermione show that they are trying to understand one-another? Where do they compromise, too? They don't. They just stop talking. Here's another example.

Compromise: I made fun of you and you got upset. We fought. In the end, I learned what made you upset and you learned that I don't mean to be offensive. We both understand that we have different types of humor and we accept that. In the future we'll compromise by me thinking before I tease you and you not taking offense to little things.

Cease-fire (AKA What Ron and Hermione do): I made fun of you and you got upset. We bicker like six year olds, then stopped talking. Essentially neither of us learned anything and since we didn't learn, we're going to repeat this shyte a million more times until it gets old.

Proof, please, of Harry's inability to love? ... Hell, proof of Hermione showing romantic love? Proof of RON showing romantic love?

Quote:

I'd argue that he then needs someone that's loyal and steadfast.

The same what inside? Tell me what these two have in common? Going on your logic, Osama Bin Laden and George W Bush would make the ideal couple! Ann Coulter and I should be married! Voldemort and Dumbledor should be marching down the wedding aisle!

Ugh. Harps! You just furiously reminded me why I abhor the Heron ship. Stone me for this, I tried reading a Heron fic "just to see what it was like".... It didn't end up too well. D:

Exactly so Harps, She treats Ron like a little brother more then she does a lover. I have thought that since I saw the third film with Harry, she greatly respects him and worries over him.

She has placed herself infront of Harry several times to sheild him from Danger and the goblet of fire tornment she runs to Harry and not to Ron and kisses him on the forehead and wraps a blanket around his shoulders not Ron. I only see Hermione treating Ron more like a baby brother then anything else.

There is plenty of chemistry between Harry/Hermione now they are a perfect couple that is the only noncannon pairing I will call a perfect couple and Harps I think I love you, you pointed out facts I have clearly forgotten about.

I love you guys, too, and nobody is going to come here and bash what you guys like. "I like R/Hr" is one thing but saying it's wrong is another thing.

Why is it you hate R/Hr, Ju? What was in that fic?

I dunno but, whatever it was it must have been a lot to tick our Jules off she usually is very sweet unless a Heron Snob comes into the thread like they have been swarming around like locusts in our threads lately.

And I know just how you feel it's hard being a Harmony fan concidering how often we get mocked and insulted and told that it's not cannon it's just ridiculus for non cannon fans to like the pairings they like anymore.

It was very, very scary. And, in threat of being thought a hypocrite, was so so soooo wrong. gonk

There was a lot of cheating!Ron and submissiveandforgiving!Hermione. I can understand how Herons like the "opposite attracts" factor (I understand because I'm an avid Dramione shipper myself) but as Harps pointed out there wasn't a lot of mature, adult compromise. mad

The story went basically like: Ron does something stupid. Hermione gives him the silent treatment. He returns the cold shoulder. She cries on Harry's 'best friend' shoulder. Ron is jealous, punches Harry in the face, and has hot-hate sex with Hermione. The cycle continues.

It was bad. So, so bad. The one thing scarier was that it was decently written. (And probably convincing in character development.)
For The First Time I'm Ready To Stop Running

I'm a Dramione shipper myself but yikes, that just sounds horrible in a fanfic that almost sounds chilidish for a fanfiction. If they want to write about a love triangle maybe they should have actually done their research.

But then again what sort of love is there between Ron and Hermione besides them bickering everytime they are together they are nothing more then like a brother or a sister. I can probably write a better fanfiction then that and my writing sucks terribly I'll willingly admit that.

But don't worry now Jules *pats back* it's over now and you won't have to read it at all again, I'm all for a love triangle but geeze that sounds like a terrible written version of one.

Ummmmmm, what on earth was that post? rofl Granted it made me laugh I just have no idea what on earth that had to do with this topic besides a spam post. Oh well better that then another Heron Snob coming up I suppose, I'd rather deal with seeing these little posts.

But about the Heron? Meh, another delusional person that thinks some relationships work so well-like a dream.
