hmmmm...I just fixed shrimp scampi for dinner and something did not go right. the texture of the sauce is wrong for one thing, for two, I think I put too much lemon juice. I wonder if they're related. confused

I think my cat broke a couple of ribs. sad
I have to take her to the vet later. She's walking all funny and won't let me touch a spot on her side. She won't jump onto anything either. She's been floorbound all day.

well it looked like she had fallen off the shelf in my closet, b/c everything was shifted funny.
However, it turns out she's just old and has arthritis in her back, probably from jumping onto and off of the shelf in my closet. The vet gave her a shot to help with the inflammation, so she should feel better soon.

Arthritis in cats generally isn't too bad, b/c they are so active, so keeping her on regular meds would be silly. Like anyone with arthritis, she'll have her good days and bad days, and if her bad days are bad enough (like yesterday) she could get the shot. It's only if the shot doesn't help at all that they'd put her on some sort of oral pain reliever.
She was doing really well last night. She was moving around and such again. She even got on my bed and took a nap while I read my book, so the shot is definitely helping.


I don't really like the mc's either, just the flag dress. 3nodding
