My fat cat died sad . He wasnt even my pet but it was still horrible. I will most definitely check any future cats for diseases.

I love this weather! Now soccer practice is outside, which beats the crap outta running down the hallways of your school with your teachers laughing at you. Yes, that's right, teachers laugh at us while we're running. But now its outside and the hot coach (hes away at college [Northern!] so he's only there Fridays and Saturdays) was there so YAY!

I'm so jealous of all these people with fat cats. I always wanted one, but both my kitties are unusually small. Gidget has never weighed more than 6 lbs, and Sebastian is only like 8 lbs. He has a little bit of growing left though. He's only a year old.

The fatter of my two cats isn't really all that fat... she weighs 9 pounds, but she's really tiny so she kinda is fat. xD My other cat weighs like 8 pounds I think and she looks extremely skinny... mostly because she always goes through this weird phase at this time of year when she licks all her fur off on her back legs and stuff. O.o It makes it look like we abuse her or something. :[

well, girl cats are generally quite a bit smaller than boy cats. They usually weigh about half as much. The average female cat will weigh no more than 6-8 pounds, whereas the average male cat is 10-14. As for Sebastian, yeah, he may just still have some growing to do. As long as they are healthy, that's the important part. 3nodding

They are both fairly healthy, so no worries there. Well, except Gidget has arthritis and is going senile. She is known to have lengthy conversations with my closet walls. She's 14 though, so she's just showing her age.

Sebastian is descent from feral cats, so that's mostly likely why he's so small. Feral cats generally don't get too big. The other cat that lives with him, Loki, who is a few months younger, already outweighs him by a good few pounds, but he hasn't been fixed yet (much to my dismay) so he still gets the added bonus of testosterone to help him grow.

Yeah, the fat cat I knew was male. And all the female cats I know are tiny! They can hide in places you never knew were there and then jump out at you. Scares the crap outta me!

I don't have any kitties to talk about either = well, not really. The feral kitties that miss fawcett and I tried to save out of the dumpster earlier this year (but they ran off) are still alive though, I see them about once a week and I saw two of them tonight in a tree because my dog scared them up there. They're big cats now o_O

I'm hoping to get my own furball when I get an apartment this fall. I'm excited! It'll be the first time I'll have sole control of another life. I'll get to name him, take care of him, feed him, everything! It's like a baby, but furry! and cheaper, and less painful.

He was around five months, which is the normal age to get a cat fixed. His age is kind of iffy though, the vet and I just guessed how old he was when I found him.
