Do YOU Go to School In Northwest PA? (read anyway!)

Well hello there. First, let me introduce myself. I'm pygmy and I'm a member of the Flying Scots Quidditch team. We're from a school in Northwest PA (about 20 to 25 minutes away from Lake Erie and Ohio!). We have noticed that Quidditch isn't huge in our region. As such, we are making it our goal to bring the sport of Muggle Quidditch to the area! If you or someone you know goes to a college (or even a high school) in the Erie County area and are interested in starting a team, we are more than willing to help you start. We started ourselves with just six to eight people around this time last year. It's so much fun, and make make friends with so many people!

This goes to anyone else as well. If you're interested in making a team/club, post here and I will help as much as I can! Quidditch needs to spread, even the IQA Commissoner we recently met says so. He wants to at least double the amount of teams/players we currently have by next year.

I would say, START A TEAM! Get some friends together and try it out. That's how Quidditch started in the first place! Some guys at Middlebury were bored of doing the same thing every Sunday and said 'Eff this, let's play Quidditch'. If you need help or know someone who needs help starting a team I am all for helping out in any way I can!

Sorry I've been supoer duper busy! I can't BELIEVE you've heard of us as well! Do you live near Edinboro or something?

Bludgers are dodgeballs. Beaters care them about and throw them at opposing players. Basically, we (this is my position) play dodgeball with the other time while getting their players out and protecting our own.

Snitch is VERY different from the books. A snitch runner is used. MEANING, a runner decked out in all yellow/gold run arounds a wrecks havoc upon not only the seekers, but the entire field as well. I've had a snitch steal my bluger from me as well as my broom. Snitches can go where they want, do what they want. I've seen a video of a snitch getting in a car. Now, the whole time this guy is running about, he had the actual snitch on him. The ACTUAL snitch is a tennis ball inside of a sock tucked into the runners shorts. Seekers must grab this, much like flag football.
