That sounds nice. ;D

I fancy a cup of tea, actually.& I better get on with my post modernistic writing.
Harry's Scar/Horcrux Theory, agree or disagree & why?: This proves nothing is original anymore. A couple months after HBP I was re-reading when I had a revelation. "What if Harry's scar was a Horcrux?" So I go online to tell everyone my genius theory and find it's already been said...many times. xd I've found a couple of interesting theories as to how it might work but for right now I'm neutral.

Snape, good or bad?: He is one of the most complex characters in Harry Potter. I doubt he would kill of the one man who believed in him without good reason. I believe he's good.
I believe Snape is actually a good guy. He wouldn't have warned Harry to study his Occlumency (sp?) if he wasn't, showing that even though he dislikes Harry he still wants him to have a fighting chance against Voldemort.
I believe Snape is neutral, he has no alliance with either sides, however I feel he will do what is right over what is easy.

As for the Harry/Horcrux thing, I hate the idea, I think it's so unbelievably cliche.

Agreed. I believe Snape's own skin is his number one priority. He wouldn't be a Slytherin if it wasn't.

The Harry/Horcrux thing will seem retarded compared to what she comes up with. I believe JKR has some awesome twists in this next book.

I have my fingers crossed hoping she is going to pull another great twist like she did for PoA & GoF, those which I enjoyed thoroughly.

That's how I feel, Snape wouldn't be a Slytherin if he didn't regard his own life as worthy of saving.
Well, that's a bit stereotypical, don't you think? I'm not saying Snape doesn't value his own hide over others, however a Slytherin is supposed to be cunning and ambitious. No where does it say a Slytherin has to look out for themselves above everyone else and I doubt that's always the case. That's like saying all Gryffindors are rash (in which I'm sure Hermione isn't), that all Hufflepuffs are weak-minded and unable to actually fight (Cedric sure was about to kick Viktor's unconscious a** in the maze. Or at least in the movie), and...I don't know enough Ravenclaws and whatnot to do one for them. Except, you know, Cho Chang spent more time bawling her eyes out than studying.

I'm guess so. However I feel Snape is working for himself, not nessasarily for his own means, but for his own saftey.

Those are good points. It's easy to stereotype the houses, however I believe the people in each House share the same qualities. For example; many Slytherins believe their needs are more important than the needs of others and many Gryffindors are willing to do anything for their friends. Their are exceptions, but I believe Snape fits the Slytherin stereotype pretty well. But since he's so complex, he could end up doing something completely unexpected and shock everyone.

Yes, I agree with that.
There has to be some stereotyping to occur anyway, for the deciding of each students house, they must show some dominant traits which will, in fact, fit into a group.

(I'm adding you to the Death Eater member lis, if that's alright with you?) :]
Hello everyone. I have decided your thread seems quite interesting and would like to be involved in literate discussions if you all dont mind. smile

Yay! Thanks! 3nodding I can't think of anything else to add to the "House stereotype" discussion for right now.

Ok, thanks. I think I shall start a new conversation to save myself from getting terribly lost.

If you all could be any Death Eater (including Lord Voldemort) who would you be?
