I agree with all those who are saying the film was dissapointing because of the wrong focus. I know they seemed to try and lighten things up a bit, but that wasn't the point of the book, and they should know by now that's what most of the viewers would want. The plot is what we want, not insignificant details, such as the fact that Dumbledore has suddenly become interested in Harry's love life. confused
And what the hell was going on with the burning down of the Burrow? I have to say that scene annoyed me most of all. That was definately not needed, and I was hoping Harry would start off at the Dursley's like he does in the book, rather than trying to chat up some girl in a cafe.
Some scenes were done well, but I have to say the ending was bordering on appalling. I cannot believe that there were people crying in the cinema at Dumbledore's death, because the film didn't portray it in a way that was at all sad.
They could have done so much more with that. And what about the battle everyone was hoping for at the end?
Ahhh, it irritates me.
