The Lord of the Rings vs Harry Potter

Harry Potter is a childrens book. Lord of the Rings is a adult fantasy book.
Harry Potter is written for children, Lord of the Rings is written for a bit older people.
You can't compare that. LotR would win big time, both by story and the way its written.

Which I personally think too. I prefer LotR cuz it feels more serious. Also, the movies was made sooo much better. David Yates don't know how to create sad moments >_> But book for the win big time! Still, HP got a nice idea, interesting side stories.
They are not equal.
They are not the same.
They are a book of different genres in my opinion. You can't compare that.

Both are amazing and classics~ Love them both! biggrin And unlike many people, I've read them both. It's sad that most ppl don't really read the LotR books, and rely solely on the movies. :'(
