In honor of the Halloween event, I'm going to host an art contest! The subject is my puppy, Adama, and the theme is Halloween. Other than that, you have free reign.
And in keeping with the tradition I always follow, everyone is a winner! You're guaranteed to win something as long as you entered, so go ahead - there's no risk!
Contest ends when the Halloween event ends.
For People Who Like Rules:
1. Yes, I'll take any kind of art. Please don't claim someone else's art as your own (duh). I like lots of different styles. Do your best - you're more likely to get better items. I'm a teacher, and I like people to do their best work. Don't give me half-assed crap, please, and then expect one of my biggest items. Take your time, clean up your art, scan it, color it...these are the sorts of things that will encourage me to give you bigger prizes.
2. Yes, every single art that is given to me will receive some kind of prize. Will you receive your requested prize? Depends on how good the art is. See rule #1. I know I've been kind of slow in the past, so I'm going to work on being more organized this time to make sure prizes are handed out quickly. Help me in doing that by requesting one item that isn't already requested by someone else, not PMing me, and just generally, following the rules.
3. Please don't tell me the sob story of how you've wanted an item for so long so I'm supposed to give it to you. I've heard it all and it really doesn't influence me. Put the effort into your art, not your begging.
4. Items worth over 1 Mil require AMAZING art. What does this mean? I'm not sure, but I'll know it when I see it. Otherwise, send me multiple really good arts. I'm negotiable. But a sketch done overnight and sent to me will probably not qualify. Use your common sense. You know what people expect around here. Don't take me for a fool...it will be the biggest mistake you've ever made.
I'll be posting some of the art I've received and I'll highlight my favorites so you can get an idea of what might qualify as AMAZING art.
5. Yes, I know everyone wants the super expensive items. You are more likely to receive an item worth less if you ask for it.

7. Please be patient. I haven't been on Gaia in a long time. I also work full time, have a puppy to take care of and have things happening in my life. (IE, just recently, my apartment flooded.) I will get back to you. It may take me more than 48 hours. GIVE ME TIME. Multiple PMs will slow me down. In fact, just don't PM me. Quote me in here. It alerts me quickly and I can track down our conversation to respond. I hate PMs, because they're harder to remember what I respond to. Plus it requires the opening of a lot more tabs, which my comp doesn't particularly like. So just, don't.
8. Have fun. Chat. Advertise. I really don't care. I hate rules that tell you what to do and when to do it. The whole purpose is to amuse myself, get rid of my stuff, and have some great memories for Soren and I. Please be respectful. I am not a N00B. I probably have been a member longer than you. Questions? Ask. Begging? Please don't. Sob stories? Not interested. Love stories? LOVE 'Em! Have an avi pair you think I should add? Send it.
9. One art = 1 prize. 1 prize = 1 item or amount of gold. No ifs, ands, or buts.
MOST IMPORTANTLY
10. I'm carrying on at least 10 different conversations at a given time. So please, for the love of all that is good, quote the entire conversation thread we're having. I like quote trees - especially if it is between you and me. It helps me remember what I offer you, what your art looks like, what we've talked about...
I'll pare down the quote tree if I think it gets too long. But for my sanity and to save me from having to go through 60 pages of posts...just quote the whole thing!!!!!!!!!
ALSO, it is your responsibility to make sure I see your post and add you to the prize distribution list. If you don't see yourself added, make sure you quote me and repost. If you STILL don't get added, THEN you may PM me. This is the only exception to the PM rule.
