I didnt know that religions openly encourage oppression and told you what holidays you could or couldent belive in. But I LOVE halloween, and it most definitly dosent only celebrate witchcraft, in fact, it hardly does at all. Halloween is the day that everyone shows who the truly are or want to be by wearing a mask

That is the point of most religions. Is to suppress and mold you into what they want. I'm not saying all religions or all religious people are bad. I've met 10-15% that are nice and open minded. The other 90-85% though not so much. -__- Took forever for my little brother to find an open minded church that wouldn't try to brain wash him lol.

When I was a kid my mom wouldn't let us celebrate because we were Christan. She finally gave in and we haven't been smited yet.

It started way back when beggars begged at door stops for food but they had to eat the offering in front of a grave

I seen a special on T.V. how Halloween was started
The Church tried to stop it from being a Holiday but it didn't some what work out
The devil doesn't have anything to do with it
It based on spirits
And how the costume came to be is it started in other country
I think France or England not 100% sure
I think some guys decide to wear masks for fun and play tricks
So their faces would be covered
It's been awhile sense I seen it so the facts isn't all there
I did my best to remember
