The noise was so awful, I had heard nothing like it before.
I paused, curious... frightened.
The monstrosity came upon me so fast.

so powerful

Yikes....well Your Majesty, While I would never presume to take your life, but it does indeed sound like human machines could be possible...Humans do have a horrible tendency for destroying forests with horrid sounding machines...I am deeply sorry for your loss and the loss of your people. Hmmm.....It could be either, as long as state of mentality is more along the lines of Multiple Personalities or Schizophrenia (like main personality went to sleep but has now re-awoken) and not something like depressed to the point of non-functionality but sees the light of life again. Not that I don't enjoy or even write such things myself, but I want to it be a bit more than that. If that made any sense at all.

Tell me, when does the event end?
Because I'm not participating in it, so I wouldn't know.
Therefore, "one week after the events ends" might as well be "the day before judgements day" for me, see? XDD!
