we, the human race, after years of industrializing our world, and genetically altering our own race, we have finally come to an end.

in the year 2056, all the smoke and pollution from our buildings and cars and everything else, finally blocked the sky, and no sun could get in, our scientists have tried to alter our human genetics to survive without the sun, but they created a monster.

2070, all experiments have all ended the same, turning humans into creatures of shadows.

2071, also known as 00DB, Darkness Fell. they escaped. they terrorized and destroyed every major city in the world, using the darkness to travel, they knocked out all power to the world and killed 98% of all humanity. luckily for us, we had the military, elite soldiers trained to fight other humans, stood up to the nightmarish creatures.

the year is now 50DF, humans have been surviving by making outposts that have been built with materials we have left. the air has cleared and the sun come out from behind clouds, all the water is dried up, and the food is scarce. the once beautiful blue planet that hosted a number of life, now is nothing but a dessert wasteland with none stop war.

the creatures seem to only come out at night, or under the cover of the clouds. but when they come, thousands come.

10 outposts surround a large outpost that was once the border of Canada and the United States. where Civilians are born and raised and live. outside the outpost lie ten military outposts, in charge of protecting the people. the entire planet now runs on huge electric generators to power water recycling and food production.

there is one, one that they can always count on, one that has the highest kill count, one that has the highest life, one that has the best commander that commands the best troops. outpost seven. also know as the Front Line

the enemy

we have given this enemy a name, we call them Nightmare's. they attack at night and in the cover of clouds. no one really knows what they look like, but they have been discribed to have long arms, eyes a crimson red, sharp teeth and razor claws. they look almost human, except that they have skin as black as night. their inhuman cries are known to shatter glass. they have been known to carry the weapons of fallen soldiers. shooting back until their ammo is depleted, then they charge.

the outpost, Front Line, has been granted the rest use of two experimental Mechs, the Mechs are only about 8 feet tall, but are mechanized so that the pilot can control it from inside the chest cavity of the mech.


First is the TAMITO GX2 "WYVERN" Mech, mainly used for heavy weapons. it has two shoulder mounted rocket launchers, an arm mounted chain gun, and an empty space for something else. (pilot can decide)

Next is the MUSA GX3 "VICTORIA", this Mech is used for close combat with Nightmare creatures. it has two arm mounted beam swords and a rifle that goes on its back, it also has back mounted thrusters.

James had been living in a small hideout when he was a kid. The people there had tried to keep a low profile so that the Nightmares won't find them. It went well for some years, too. Soemtimes they had to move to another place. But somewhen in 42db, as they were moving again, something went terribly wrong and he was left the only survivor. He never spoke about what happened to him to anybody. Not even after there were people to talk to. Because, after traveling for years, using the few left rays of light between the clouds and a sledgehammer to defend himself, he made it to The Frontline. The people were quite shocked to see another survivor after so many years. James, instead of heading towards the civilian zone, asked for some weaponry and enlisted to help them.

He has a tattoo of a King of Hearts card on his arm and some have called him the Suicide King since he has more than once leaped into combat headlong without even hesitation or fear of death. Other than his bravery he is a regular rank and file soldier.

Bella's face was emotionless as she stood within the ranks, though she was more towards the back to keep an eye out for any recruits that stepped out of line. Her blue eyes shifted over all of the nameless faces to her such at that point of time, she was one of them last year, she'd thought to herself with a mental smile. Now it's their turn.
