Nix smiled wider and nodded to show that she understood but didn't say anything. Instead, she took up the sketchbook she had tucked underneath her arm and took out a pencil. After taking a bit to scribble out a response, the girl showed Zulma the words, "Thank you, I'll be sure to enjoy them. I'm Nix Papillon. May I know your name?".
The young woman smile was cute but Zulma was surprised by her silence. As she took a pen to write, the Innkeeper leaned over. "I am Zulma. I am the Innkeeper. Nice to meet you Nix." she answered gently. "So what do you want in your crepes? Sweet? Savory?" she showed the adolescent everything that was on the table.
Nix looked at the assortment of toppings offered through the one eye she could see from, the other was covered with a bandage. "Sweet, please," the girl responded in writing on her sketchpad, "or I can make it myself if it's too much trouble."
Zulma nodded. "It's no trouble at all, but feel free to help yourself!" she prepared a plate with two crepes: one with sugar and the other one with whipped creme and fresh fruits.
As she handed the plate, she asked softly. "I know this is none of my business, but do you need healing?" she asked with a movement of the chin towards her bandaged eye.
