                    well. i have a question.
i really, really enjoy the music in glee (obviously). this being said, i know zero about broadway apart from its name. that's where i need help. i would like a list, big or small, of some enjoyable showtunes that you think i may like?
it's an odd request, i know. but i'm trying to open my ears to different musical genres.

actually all, i was hoping for songs, not exactly the musicals. but they are all duly noted. (:

Friendly Friend

"Defying gravity" from Wicked is awesome!!! Also a lot of the Sweeny Todd songs are good. I particularly enjoy "My friends"

Durem Raider

Steven Sondheim and Andrew Lloyd Webber: those two made huge contributions to Broadway. You'll find that a lot of the hit musical scores were written by one or the other.

You can also go looking based on performers. Michael Crawford, George Hearn, Patti LuPone, Angela Lansbury, Anthony Rapp, Kristen Chenoweth, Idina Menzel... a lot of names like those come to mind.
