There were only 5 originals Cyclops, Beast, Marvel Girl (Jean Grey), Iceman, and Angel. And of course Professor X. Magneto was one of the first villains.

Storm and Wolverine are NOT original X-Men and shouldn't be on the list.

You didn't even put all of the original x-men. And if you want to get technical Wolvie wasn't "orginally" part of the x-men, he joined up from another team. So you don't have my choice but I pick Iceman!

You are right. I believe he was a member of the Canadian Group Alpha Flight.

Wolverine wasn't one of the original X-men. He was part of the next generation that included Storm and Colossus and Nightcrawler. The first 5 are the only actual original X-men.

My favorite by far is Jean. Her power is incredible and the storylines that centered around her have been some of the most memorable in comicbook history! Rise of the Phoenix, Inferno, Executioner's Song, and the miniseries where she and Cyclops go to the future to raise Cable as their son...awesome reading. When I was 12, I sooooo wanted to be her.

I don't know if he was exactly the best, I mean in a fight I'm not sure which would win. I chose Wolverine, because hes always been my favorite X-men character ever.
