Old? My dog is 12. He's a chow/lab/Shepard mix. Aside from some arthritis, he's quite healthy. My black lab puppy just turned two. He's a maniac.

Yeah, I know he's not really old.
But it seems like so long.
One night he just showed up on our doorstep. My dad went out to smoke and this little black-and-white puppy just waltzes himself on in like he owned the place.
We know he belonged to someone because he smelled like he'd just had a bath. Still smelled like soap. But because there were no signs and no one came looking, we assumed he was someone's Christmas present and then they decided they didn't want him and just dropped him off.
After about two weeks, we understood why. He's a major pain in the a**. But I still love him.

Both of mine are rescue animals. My older dog, was taken from an abusive home. Then failed out of a training program from disabled people. Which was when we got him. He was 2 and a pain in the a**.

Our puppy came to us in an odd way. He was found by some people wandering the streets, given to a neighbor of ours, who gave hm to my mom when she went for a haircut one day. He was 6 weeks old and the most adorable thing I had ever seen. That is, until a few days later when he started terrorizing our house.

Sounds exactly like my dog. For one, the little s**t just invited himself in. The next day he chewed a hole in the toe of my shoe. It was a wonder my dad didn't take him to the shelter then and there.
Luckily my parents don't believe in abandoning dogs at shelters so we kept him when we realized his owner wasn't coming after him.
