As i've said before, it's really unfair to compare these two series.
The vampire chronicles are written on a much higher level. They're different genres. They only similarities are the fact that they both have vampires. (different kinds of vampires at that) That being said, I prefer Anne Rice's work. |

Actually, I've never read the Vampire Chronicles. But I have a strong dislike for Twilight. Stephanie Meyer's vampires really aren't vampires. They're kinda like vampire 'wannabes'.
Especially after reading Bram Stoker's Dracula. It makes every vampire seem like p***y after Vampire-Lucy. Moral? If you want good vampire-fiction, try Bram Stoker. His has relevant themes. biggrin |

 XD Is this a serious topic? Twilight is an okay story but it's terribly written. It's childrens' literature written by an admittedly inexperienced 'author'. The Vampire Chronicles is written by a very talented, very experienced writer and has extremely deep and well constructed storylines with very good writing style and terrific characters. Twilight's not BAD I guess, but comparing these two is like comparing Disney's Snow Dogs to the movie Eight Below. |
