I've never read any of Anne Rice's work, so I can't really compare... I prefer Nancy Baker (a not-so-well-known Canadian author) over Stephanie Meyer, though.

let me make this clear. i only like the books. i actually hate the movie. i read the books BEFORE they even got it approved to be a movie. the only thing i like about the movie is jasper just because i like the actor. get it?

Yeah Anna i agree, i love Twilight the books! the movie was crappy though, and they didn't do a good job chosing the actors for the characters. the actors don't portray the characters well, and they delted to much and there was no emotion! but the books are awesome.
Interview with a Vampire, i tried to read it but it was to much for me. to much description. but i haven't read the rest of the books so i don't know.

Vampire Chronicles. Pandora is the love of my life.
And Anne Rice could actually write, as compared to Meyers who...well, can't. Even Rice's new Christian books are better than Twilight and I can't stand Christian novels (except Ted Dekker, he's a lunatic).
