If you must knowww. I agree with you.
This is coming from an extremely poor person who RIGHT NOW does not even have money to buy Milk. literally.

BUT even if i do agree i still can't steal. I mean i have but like 2 or 3 times when the items were very small and outrageously over priced. But i get too scared. I don't want to ruin my life because of a stupid item i stole. It sucks.

But you have the money for internet obviously rolleyes

I don't have to explain my ways of getting money or my living circumstances at all. But it is very ignorant and foolish of a person to judge another simply because of appearances.

If you must know NO i don't have money to pay for internet this could be a freaking library computer for all you know. But thankfully i am at the comfort of my home because somehow every month my mom and i manage to sum up some cash together to pay for the only commodity we can afford. No cable just internet which is $23 dollars a month.

Chapstick was so important and so expensive that you couldn't just pay for it? That seems extremely stupid to me. If they're in an area that doesn't have a soup kitchen and they stole food to keep their families alive (in which I would think that they already signed up for government help, but in some cases it's not so easy), then I wouldn't look down on it nearly as much as someone stealing useless crap that they could easily live without.

I'm sucha cheapskate that I think 1.00 chapsticks are expensive.

How do you plan on surviving in the real world then when bills are by far more than a dollar?

I'd be like, "b***h, you have the $800 cell phone, you can afford the goddamn Fritos."

People can't afford everything they need, so you go and steal chapstick? Dude, you could get a stick for a quarter at the 99 cent store.

You friend wasn't a friendly guard, he was a lazy one.

I don't like the quality of the 99cent store chapsticks. :[
Um, they're generally the same brand you'd steal from Wal-Mart. confused
You steal chapstick?

I could understand if you desperately needed medecine or food, but chapstick? b***h, cough up the fifty cents!

I don't see stealing as bad, UNLESS you steal from a family run store. That's just not cool.

Oh my god thats so true xd
Damn straight. Most of the kids I hear about stealing are spoiled and have a ton of money but their parents won't buy them every last stupid thing they want, so their spoiled minds think it's their right to take what isn't their's because if they go without instance gratification fo a good 6 seconds they'll lose their marbles (which I'd like to see).

You're not hte only person who has financial troubles, look at the world economy.
You CAN scrounge up at least $3.25 for some milk, without stealing it. Dont be bloody stupid.
Chapstick? Seriously? You make a statement about how people sometimes can't afford everything they need, and then you talk about jacking Chapstick?

Anyway, while you might think you're being badass and sticking it to the big corporations, you're really just hurting other customers and the employees of the store itself. Allow me to explain: When people shoplift, businesses lose money. So in order to keep their profits up, they increase prices to make up for it, and sometimes their employees have to take pay cuts and lose stuff like health benefits.

And as for your friend, not all security guards are that lax about their job. Many of them wouldn't hesitate to bust your a**.

You take something that doesn't belong to you-----& bad

If someone steals from me, I can guarantee that person is going to get their a** kicked.

I'm sure we've all done something that's "bad", in your definition.

I don't steal from people, I steal from Walmart/the mall.
But it's not ALL the time, only little things.
Like chapstick. and sometimes some beef jerky.
People at my walmart, literally don't care.

I'm sure everyone has stolen before, no one is pure good. ;]

EVERY store is family run.

The employees of Wal-Mart are part of a family. The manager has a family. Wal-Mart's CEO has a family.

It all really depends. I don't really care as long as you don't do it to a business that is hurting. The weird thing for me is even if I know I haven't stolen anything from the store I always think the beeper is going to go off. I must be paranoid.

Stealing from ANY store hurts the business.

Oh. I noticed that from other posts. I no longer steal. I have stolen but only a few times but that was over the summer and I stopped when my sister almost got arrested for it. The sad thing is that she still steals.

I wouldn't waste my time on Gaia telling people how poor I was. I'd get off my capable a** and get a job. You don't look sickly or disabled.

I think she is talking about the bigger ones that wouldn't be hurt as much if you did.

Lol, well sorry I can't make a cool and serious first post.

Doesn't Walmart have money put away just for shoplifting?
I've rarely noticed the prices at Walmart increase.
I didn't think that you'd get health benefits or that much of a great pay while working at Walmart, either.
