Once you think about it, those that peer into the lives of others from a distance with an unbiased view of their situations could probably provide a lot more insightful advice and theories than those that are directly linked to the issue. The stigmatizing of stalkers is very misunderstood and very underestimated. It's common knowledge that one would assume a stalker status for being interested in a certain person's life or a group of people: watching their daily life, ease dropping, or any other means necessary to convey what we would deem as "creepy."
Though there is much you can learn in life if you are but an observer; watching other people's reactions to certain stimuli can give you information to make theories about how individuals act when placed in that circumstance. Observing others without direct contact is much more of a learning experience than a creepy disposition.
I have stalker-ish habits such as browsing the internet and reading other people's commentary to one another via Gaia or Myspace. It's not because I'm interested in their lifes perse or them as a person but I'm very curious about their social interactions and what they have to face in life. I find it interesting and compelling; why would anyone not want to see what someone else's life is like. There is so much to learn.
I'm sure most of you have habits that would deem you a title of weird that you'd never speak to others about.
