But a majority of people do it just for the sake of displaying who they like.

The only thing I dislike about picdrops is when people thoughtlessly post mean and cruel things about the person in the picture without thinking about how bad they would feel if it were them (which you tend to see alot of in GD).

I don't care how bad you dislike someone's picture, you can always find at least one positive thing to say about someone, and the very act of making a nice statement about someone will make you feel better about yourself as well.

Anyhow, yeah I'm preaching, lol.
