Baron Von Blackhardt
Interestingly enough, I don't dress like my sig every day. In fact, most of the time, I'm dressed more along the lines of
this, and/or
this. (except minus the red streak in my hair, because I quickly became aware of how gay it is)
Though, I understand why people who are into that don't doll up like that all the time, it looks like a real chore. I know it's just my opinion, but the real thing is so much better, like in the pictures you posted. I just view lolita as a soul-less Japanese attempt to "market" the Victorian era.
Nice duds! And yes, it is a time consuming process to go from everyday to
this. The thing is, just because I'm consuming doesn't mean that I'm not into real Victorian clothing by itself or that I'm somehow selling out my soul to the man completely. I actually collect extant clothing as well. I just like the style, and a lot of it is due to the repackaging of the Victorian aspects. I wouldn't really view the fashion as soulless, either. It didn't spring from a mass marketing scheme, but actually originally came from natural-kei street fashion. Baby the Stars Shine Bright, Angelic Pretty, and many other now very large brands were originally indie brands that became popular enough to become permanent mainstream labels. There's a lot of history that is there that people who aren't familiar with the timeline of how the fashion came to be aren't aware of at first glance. But anywho, you're entitled to your opinion. I fully admit to being a consumer whorebag. I like shopping.
But yes, that facial hair is awesome. Reminds me of
this mate here. I love the Wondermark comic strip XD
