You can't really have a background to be proud of because technically, you can't be pure American or even say, "Oh, I'm soso% American and soso&#xso;mething else". There's nothing you can really lay claim to since it all came from another nation's culture. I guess all that you can really say is truly American is being the fattest nation in the world. neutral

I guess the same could be said for Canadians. Just not as fat Americans that are obsessed with hockey.
